Police say a 15-year-old is responsible for setting fire to a duck hunting shed in Charlestown.

Around 7:00 Monday evening, police were notified of a fire on Marsh Point, a peninsula off of East Beach Road in Ninigret Pond.

Crews on scene found a fully engulfed wooden shed owned by the Marsh Neck Gun Club. The structure was a total loss.

Witnesses say they saw a boat leaving the peninsula just before noticing the fire.

Around 8:00, four juveniles and their parents came to the police station to discuss their involvement in the fire. Police determined that one 15-year-old was responsible for setting it. That juvenile was released to a parent and will be arraigned on 2nd degree arson.
