The street outside Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel in Providence was lined with Hunter Hayes fans this afternoon. The doors opened, the crowd rushed in and Hayes took the stage yelling, "Providence, what's up?!"

2:00 in the afternoon isn't a typical time for a country concert but that's because Hayes in on a mission, explaining, "we, we are playing 10 shows in 24 hours." The singer is setting out to break a world record. The current record is 8 shows in 8 cities in 24 hours.

Fans outside were excited, "I think it's crazy he has the energy to do all the shows and he's traveling so much which is really cool and I think it's for a good cause so that's great." Another fan agreed, "It's really cool and I think it's for a good cause so it's really exciting to be a part of."

Lupo's was the singers fourth stop of the 24 hour tour. Early this morning his first performance was on Good Morning America. That's where he explained that this isn't only a world record attempt, it's a 24 Hour Race to End Child Hunger. He explained on GMA, "it means something now, we have a mission we're going to work with child hunger ends right here and raise awareness for the hunger issues here in the states."

Hayes has six more performances after Providence with his final stop Saturday morning at 5AM in Philadelphia.
