The Rhode Island Climate Change Council met Thursday morning, announcing a preliminary report.

The newly formed group is working to prepare communities for the impacts of climate change. They put together a list of eight key points that will lead to collaboration between state and local agencies, as well as public and private sectors.

They are also soliciting public comments before the report is finalized on May 20th. The event was held at the Bristol Town Beach, which organizers say is an example the type of green space the council aims to promote.
