Police say the Downtown Crossing MBTA station was closed this morning after a bomb threat was made. The station has since been reopened.

Around 8:40 a.m. Wednesday police were called to the station on Washington Street after a man entered the station and left an unknown box on the Orange Lien platform.

The suspect has been detained by Transit Police.
