Students from all over the state honored those who've served during Rhode Island's second annual Veteran's Appreciation Day.

Over 80 vets shared their stories with the students at East Greenwich High School.

The middle school and high school age kids divided into small groups to listen to the vets.

There were men and women on hand from World War II, Korea, Vietnam and current conflicts.

"Once I arrived and actually heard the voices and heard the experiences it's been incredibly enriching," Christian Walsh, a senior from Westerly said. "It's almost unreal how much these people have endured and how much these people have given to our country."

"Learning about it is great but then when you go and talk to these veterans it makes the experience a lot more real and a lot more memorable,"

Sarah Lubic, a junior from Narragansett, said.
