SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND -- Rain and sleet Wednesday night made the snow heavy to shovel for some.
"It's a little heavier now, it's kinda of solid, heavier to push," said Talia Giusti, Cranston.
"It's heavy since it rained, pretty heavy," said Danny LaRoche.
The sleet and slush froze as the temptress dipped below freezing Wednesday into Thursday.
"I am watching the cars drive past me and everybody is swerving, the slush is crazy not to mention the snow we had a couple of days ago now is ice," said Sara from Cranston.
"I'm just hoping it's not too bad in the morning. I have a long drive," said LaRoche.
RIDot says they'll have crews out into Thursday morning to treat the roads. RI State Police will also have extra patrols to respond to any emergencies.
