WARWICK, RI- With shopping lists in hand and carts full of toys, people in Warwick are scrambling to get last–minute gifts, just two days before Christmas.

Last-Minute Shopper, Laurie Morgan said she waited until today to shop.

"Because I didn't do it over the weekend. I was being lazy and I had to get out at the last minute because tomorrow is Christmas Eve and I don't want to brave it tomorrow," said Morgan.

Cassie Holman said, "I finally got paid so doing some last–minute shopping so I can get mom and dad what they want; sorry sisters and brothers."

Many braved through the lines and the rain, but for one mother with a busy work schedule, today was the only day she could get to the store.

"I'm a little nervous. I'm holding them a little closer to me because I don't want them to get lost cause I know it's crazy," said Heather Maia.

Despite trying to find the perfect last–minute gift, parking alone was a headache.

"Yes, a whole lot of kookiness. I mean, traffic is from the highway all the way to here. It's just like people are like crying for parking spots," said security officer, Michael Masseau.

Masseau has only been on the job for a week and has seen people willing to get their cars towed just for last–minute gifts.

Masseau said, "The most craziest thing would be seeing someone park right outside Macy's, run in with their kids and put on their hazard lights. That's like very, very crazy for me, and have the guts to do it too."
