Students at East Greenwich High School will take a pledge against texting and driving.

Approximately 200 sophomores are expected to sign the pledge during an assembly on Wednesday hosted by Attorney General Peter Kilmartin, Rhode Island State Police, and AT & T.

As part of the "Txting & Driving… It Can Wait," campaign students will watch a documentary on distracted drivers and then be asked to take the pledge.

A driving simulator will also be available to students to demonstrate the real life dangers of texting and driving."
