Companies give deals, say thank you to Vets

National Parks

  • National Parks around the country are waiving the cost of admission for veterans

Chili's  

  • The chain restaurant, including the one in Providence, is offering free dinner (from a special menu) on Veterans day to both vets and those serving now. Sunday night Chili's raised about $700 for the Wounded Warriors Project. 10% of every meal went to the organization.

Bar Louie

  • Veterans and active duty personnel can get a free meal, up to $12. Proof of service is required. It's dine in only.

Applebee's

  • Veterans and active duty military get a free entree from a limited menu at Applebee's on Nov. 11. Must show military ID.

Starbucks

  • Starbucks is making a caffeinated salute to veterans. Servicemen, women, vets and their spouses can get a free tall brew Monday.
