Carpet City USA of Warwick has filed a lien with Rhode Island Superior Court for work done on the Providence Arcade.

The subcontractor says it is owed approximately $180,000 for work done on the redevelopment project to turn the 185-year-old building into a shopping mall and micro-lofts. The company began work on the arcade at the end of 2012 until March of 2013.

The company says it completed about $248,000 of work on the project. Carpet City USA, owner Keith Haughey said he did receive some of the money from the arcade after it sold the back project materials to the developer, however, the company is seeking the repayment of the remaining $180,000.

Calls to Evan Granoff the commercial real estate investor for the project have not yet been returned.
