Fans at Fenway Park started celebrating instantly once the game went final. People were so excited they were screaming standing on their chairs to get a look at the 2013 World Series Champions.
The Red Sox closed out the World Series with a win at home for the first time since 1918 Wednesday night, and some fans were still in a bit of shock.
One fan reacted, "Unbelievable, history with my son, my family here, season ticket holders here, this is unbelievable."Another, "I never in my wildest dreams thought I'd be standing here watching this happen and it's unreal."
The win seemed surreal for a number of fans, especially after tragedy struck the city just 6 months ago.The celebration will continue well into the weekend, the highlight of course being Saturday morning, when fans and players parade through Fenway and the streets of Boston.
