Two Chariho High school students are facing charges. They are accused of assaulting a school official.
Police say the 13 and 16 year old got into a fight with the official last Thursday. They threw punches and elbow strikes, which resulted in a facial injury for the official. Police say the official was trying to restrain the 16 year old.
The 16-year-old was taken to the training school. The 13 year old, who also taunted and threatened the officials, is now in DCYF custody. Both will appear in family court.
Both students were part of the RYSE program for at risk youth and their families.
