Family tied up during Providence home invasion

Providence Police are investigating a home invasion that took place Sunday night around 11 p.m. on Hendrick Street.

Police say that three armed men wearing ski masks knocked on the door of the home and when a woman peaked through the door crack they made their way into the apartment.

The three men then tied up the six people inside the apartment including a twelve year old boy and his mother and father.

The men demanded money and drugs. After searching the house the men found a small amount of drug and money. They also took a cell phone and a laptop from the residence.

During the ordeal one man was struck in the head. He suffered minor injuries.

Police believe that the incident was targeted and are currently searching for the suspects.
