The Coast Guard responded to a 21-foot boat off of Prudence Island around 10:00 Sunday morning.

The boat's anchor line got caught in the props, and the engine couldn't operate. The 3 occupants on-board feared they were drifting towards the rocks and considered abandoning ship.

The Bristol Harbormaster was first to arrive on-scene, and Coast Guard Castle Hill sent two boats to assist. One boat helped to pull the troubled boat away from the rocks and towed it safely back to shore.

No injuries were reported.
