PROVIDENCE, RI- 42–hundred people dressed in pink filtered through downtown Providence today for the Gloria Gemma breast cancer run.
The participants included survivors as well as those who lost loved ones to breast cancer.
"I'm here with all my strength, family, and friends and we're going to go do this 5k and win," said breast cancer survivor, Tracey Henebury.
Survivor, Linda Carvelli said, "Besides being a survivor myself, I lost my mom and my sister and several friends and so I walk for all of them and anyone else surviving today."
The top fundraiser this year is a team of 500 from Hendricken High.
They raised over $16,000.
Today they wore these "man–up to breast cancer" T–shirts.
