The special token selected to represent Rhode Island in a limited edition Rhode Island Monopoly game is the Breakers Mansion in Newport.

The game is being released in honor of Hasbro Children's Hospital's 20th anniversary.

For the past several weeks Rhode Islanders were asked to logon to Hasbro Toy's website and choose from 14 possible tokens to represent Rhode Island.

The tokens included Mr. Potato Head, a Quahog, the Newport Pell Bridge, Roger Williams, the Independent Man, the Superman Building, a sailboat, the Block Island Lighthouse and Haven Brother's diner.

"On behalf of the leadership and the entire staff of Hasbro Children's Hospital, I want to thank everyone in the Rhode Island community who showed their support of the hospital and our Rhode Island icons by voting for the new game token," said Robert B. Klein, M.D., pediatrician-in-chief of Hasbro Children's Hospital.

The new "Breakers" token will be about one inch-tall.

"We seek to inspire and promote an appreciation of the value of preservation to enrich the lives of people everywhere," said Trudy Coxe, chief executive officer and executive director of the Preservation Society of Newport County. "We thank Hasbro, Inc., and we are honored to be part of this effort to help Hasbro Children's Hospital."

Rhode Island was the first state asked to weigh in online to choose a token for the game.

The proceeds from the game will benefit Hasbro children's Hospital.
