A man charged with killing a mother and her daughter in Johnston and then kidnapping a 2-year-old waived his right to bail in court this morning.
28-year-old Daniel Rodriguez initially appeared for a bail hearing at the end of August but it was postponed.
Rodriguez is accused of murdering his girlfriend 40-year-old Evelyn Burgos and her daughter Vanessa Perez in August. He then kidnapped Perez's 2-year-old son causing a statewide Amber Alert.
The next court date for Rodriguez has not yet been set. The Attorney General's office says the next step in the legal process is to seek a formal indictment from a grand jury.
