Wareham Police are on the lookout for a male suspect in an armed bank robbery.

At about 5:00 pm Thursday, a robber walked in and demanded money from the teller at Mayflower Co-operative Bank on Cranberry Highway, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and holding a black gun.

The suspect fled the scene and witnesses saw him speed away in a car parked nearby, described as a silver Chrysler 200. The suspect was covering his face, but is described as a white male in his mid to late 20's with light hair.

The suspect got away with an undetermined amount of cash. No customers were in the bank at the time of the robbery and no injuries were reported. Wareham Police ask that anyone with information contact them at 508-295-1206, or leave an anonymous tip through www.warehampolice.com
