The ACLU of Rhode Island is holding a news conference Monday to announce new legal action regarding the Rhode Island Board of Education's "high stakes testing" requirement.

This requirement, set to take effect in 2014, puts about 4,000 students at risk of not graduating next year because of their scores on this NECAP test.

Over the past 2 months, the ACLU filed 2 lawsuits against the Board of Education over the way it's handled the issue.

The conference is taking place at the ACLU's office Monday, September 16 at 10:30 am, where they will announce more details about the lawsuit.
