The City of Boston, the Hockey East Association and Fenway Sports Management (FSM) today held a press conference at Fenway Park and announced that tickets for Citi Frozen Fenway 2014 will go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 6 at noon.
The two-week series of outdoor hockey and ice-skating events at Fenway Park will start on Dec. 28 and run through Jan. 13. Citi Frozen Fenway will feature college hockey doubleheaders on January 4 and 11, with the Friars kicking the event off on Jan. 4.
• Merrimack College Warriors vs. Providence College Friars (4:00 p.m.)
• Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. Boston College Eagles (7:30 p.m.)
In attendance for the Friars was Head Coach Nate Leaman, senior defenseman Kevin Hart (Cumberland, Maine) and sophomore forward Kevin Rooney (Canton, Mass.).
Tickets for the college doubleheaders will be available at redsox.com/frozenfenway or by calling (877) RED-SOX9. Patrons who require accessible seating may call (877) RED-SOX9. The Friars are set to open the 2013-14 season in newly renovated Schneider Arena on Friday, Oct. 11 at 7:00 p.m. against Minnesota State.
