A mother accused of drunk driving with four kids in her car insisted she is a good mother outside of court on Monday.
35-year-old Angela Taveras pleaded not guilty to DUI charges in Taunton District Court on Monday.
Taveras was arrested Friday night after she was pulled over for swerving on Winthrop Street in Rehobeth and traveling 15 miles below the sped limit. Inside her vehicles she had four children ranging in age from three to fourteen. Three of the children are hers.
Outside of court Taveras said she swerved because her son was navigating and she missed the turn. She was on her way home from her cousin's wedding.
Taveras was released on personal recognizance and her license was suspended for 30 days. She will be back in court on July 24.
