PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Police are searching for a number of suspects after a black Nissan Maxima drove up to a family party and opened fire, leaving four wounded in unknown condition.

Police say around 10 p.m., a family gathered for a party at 55 Curtis Street in Providence. They were celebrating when a black Nissan Maxima drove up. Someone inside the car rolled down the window and shot four people at the party, including two 16 year-olds.

One of the victims was shot in the head, police say, and another was shot in the back. Police had no word on the condition of the victims, and have not yet released their identities.

Police think there may have been another car involved in the drive-by, but so far they have made no arrests. Detectives are pursuing some leads in the case, but police say some of the victims have so far been uncooperative.

This violence comes on the heels of a murder which took place less than 24 hours earlier on Clym Street.

ABC6 News will have more information as new details are uncovered.
