BRISTOL, R.I. - A 30 year-old man is facing trespassing charges after police identified him from a Youtube video of two men climbing the Mount Hope Bridge.

Police say they arrested Christopher Aguiar, 30, of Portsmouth, R.I. after state police identified him as one of the men in a YouTube video of two men scaling the north tower of the bridge.

Troopers began their investigation in February after the video surfaced, which depicts two men on the top of the north bridge tower. One man was narrating the video as the two men walked along the tower. The Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority became aware of the situation and filed the initial complaint.

Police were able to trace the Youtube video through various social media websites back to Aguiar, who was subsequently arrested. Police also identified the second man in the video, but he remains at large.

The Mount Hope Bridge has signage posted at either end of the Mount Hope bridge which indicates that pedestrians are prohibited from climbing the bridge, for obvious safety reasons.
