NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. - At least a dozen state and local police stormed the home of New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez Sunday in connection with the murder investigation of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd.

Sources tell ABC News that Hernandez will so face an arrest warrant on obstruction of justice charges, but he remained a free man on Sunday. Hernandez sat inside his North Attleboro home as investigators swarmed the property.

The search lasted more than three hours. K-9 units were led around the property and inside the home. Detectives wearing rubber gloves were seen exiting the house with bags of evidence. At one point, a locksmith was called to the home.

Investigators refused to comment after executing the warrant, and a statement has not been issued by the Bristol County District Attorney's office.

Crowds gathered in front of the home hoping to catch a glimpse of Hernandez, himself, but he did not leave the home. ABC News reports that he still may face arrest for tampering with evidence.

State Police reportedly say Hernandez intentionally destroyed his cell phone and home surveillance system.
