A woman is outraged after she says her mentally disabled brother was left on a RIPTA RIde bus for over 7 hours.

Carolyn Young said that her 61-year-old brother Tom Fulmer who suffers from cerebral- palsy and mental retardation takes the RIde bus from their Warwick home to the Trudeau Center daily but on Monday he never made it.

The bus picked him up at 7:30 a.m. but when it dropped off the passengers to the Trudeau Center Fulmer stayed on the bus.

The bus then broke down and the driver abandoned it. It was not until 4:30 p.m. when Fulmer was found when a RIPTA official came to retrieve the bus.

Young said her brother waited for over 7 hours with no food or water. When he was found he was covered in urine. Young said he was brought to the hospital for an evaluation.

ABC6 contacted RIPTA for comment but the calls have not yet been returned.
