A 15-year-old boy was stabbed outside Stone Hill School in Cranston around 10 p.m.
Police responded to the Village Avenue School where they found the teen stabbed in the abdomen. He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The teen told police that he did not know his attackers. He said he was walking near the front of the school when the suspect approached him from behind, grabbed his shoulder to pull him around and then stabbed him.
The weapon used has been recovered however no arrests have been made. The suspect is described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt drawn closed to hid his face, red basketball shorts, white socks, and winter gloves.
