Patriot's tight-end Aaron Hernandez who is currently being questioned in the murder of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd is apparently no stranger to Providence Police.
A police report from May 18 has Hernandez involved in an altercation on Thayer Street outside Viva. The report says Hernandez was taunted by a Jets fan and police intervened to avoid a physical altercation.
During this incident a large crowd of people followed Hernandez down Thayer Street towards Olive Street. Police intervened to keep Hernandez from getting assaulted. Police followed Hernandez to his vehicle. During the incident Police observed a heavy set black man discard a firearm under a vehicle parked on the street near Karta bar. The man fled the scene and the gun was identified as a Jimenez .22.
Odin Lloyd was found dead by a jogger in a North Attleboro industrial park on Monday evening. He was shot execution style. Lloyd is a line backer for a semi-pro football team, the Boston Bandits.
On Wednesday police scoured the area for evidence and uncovered a gun. They are continuing to search for a silver car mirror cover that they believed to have broken off a vehicle.
Fox 25 in Boston is reporting that Hernandez, Lloyd and two others left in a car driven by Hernandez. Later only three men returned to Hernandez's $1.3 million home in North Attleboro.
