Man sentenced for 2012 Providence murder

Convicted murderer Michael Tully was sentenced on Wednesday for the 2012 shooting death of 26-year-old Ralph Joseph.

Tully was convicted in April of first-degree murder and conspiracy for shooting Joseph in the head at the Manton Heights housing complex on May 30. Joseph was treated at Rhode Island Hospital but succumbed to his injuries a few days later.

Tully was sentenced to a life in prison for the first degree murder charge, 10 years to run concurrently for conspiracy, an additional 10 ½ for violating probation, and 20-years with 15 to serve to run consecutively for being a habitual offender.
