Laura Gambrel, 22, of Zionsville, Indiana received a pleasant and hilarious surprise on her graduation cake.

The recent grad from Indiana University was surprised to see a cat, rather than a cap sitting on her head of the portrait cake.

Carol Gambrel, Laura's mother, was overcome with laughter when noticing the mistake on her daughter's cake. Carol said that a young man had initially taken the order, and looked confused when she asked him if the bakery could draw a cap on her daughters head.

It was when she picked up the cake that she realized he must have misheard her order.

"I can only imagine them doing it and thinking I was going to vet school or something," Laura added.

Carol took the "cat cake" home for family to see. The image of the cake was posted on Reddit and immediately went viral.

This graduation cake is one that Laura and Carol will never fur-get!
