Some homeless veterans in Rhode Island will no longer be homeless today.
The Providence Center opened a home for homeless veterans struggling with mental illness or substance abuse issues on Monday morning.
The newly opened Joyce house on River Avenue includes six apartments each equipped with two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a living room.
Veterans living in the new home will have mental health and substance abuse services readily available to them.
