Taxi drivers rallied at the Rhode Island Statehouse to call for the repeal of the "taxi tax."
Taxi owners and drivers gathered at the Statehouse Tuesday to urge the General Assembly to pass a bill that would effectively repeal the taxi tax included in the 2012 state budget.
The legislation is in both the Senate and House Finance Committee where it is pending approval.
The Rhode Island Taxi Owners Association handed in a petition of over 1,000 signatures calling for the repeal to the House Finance Committee.
