LaSalette Shrine has been flooded and not with Holy water.
The Attleboro Shrine known for its light display around Christmas time has been overwhelmed by heavy rains dumped by the remains of Tropical Storm Andrea.
The rain has left up to three feet of water in parts of the Shrine's parking lot and threatens to send water spilling into the welcome center.
The pews of the shrine's outdoor chapel are submerged in water. The problem is believed to be a result of 60-year-old drainage pipes clogged by roots.
While people are still welcome to come to the shrine the amount of water has some people nervous.
"They still can come into the shrine but it's gotten to a point where people are afraid," said Reverend Brother Bob Russell.
This is not the first time the shrine has flooded but Russell says it is certainly the worst.
