It was a hot, but thrilling day at Brown Stadium for the RIIL Track and Field championships.

In the sprints East Providence's Ryan Williams won the 100 and 200 meters. Hope's Quashira McIntosh also won the 100 and 200 meters, and set the state record in the 200.

It came down to the final race (the 4x400) in the boys team competition, where a second place finish for East Providence gave them the victory.

Led by wins from Maddie Berkson Alva Hicks, and Mathaline Cooper, the Classical Girls dominated en route to a team victory on the girls side.
