A local liquor store owner was saddled with quite a mess when a pony and a man walked into his store on Monday.

The owner of Patriot's Liquors in Warren called police after 51-year-old William Saviano walked into his store with a Shetland Pony.

It wasn't the pony that got the owner upset- it was what the pony did when inside the store.

The pony, apparently not potty trained, defecated in the store and Saviano did not clean it.

"Just about to walk out.. the horse decided to do his thing on the rug.. and he did not want to clean it.. So we had a lady ask him if she could hold the horse for him, he didn't want any part of it," said Assistant Manager Rick Lima.

Police arrived at the store and Saviano was ordered to clean up the pony's mess. Once the mess was cleaned the owner decided against pressing charges.
