A teapot that was gifted by Lizzie Borden to her care taker has made it's way into the hands of the Fall River Historical Society.
The teapot was a present from Borden to Gertrude May Russell, a woman who served as her hired companion.
Curator Michael Martins said the teapot was donated by Russell's granddaughter who currently lives in Maine. The ceramic teapot came completely intact with an infuser.
Russell worked for Borden for two years between 911 and 1913. She was hired 20 years after Borden was accused and acquitted of murdering her father and stepmother with an "axe."
