The University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth graduated over 11,000 students on Sunday.
Security was notably enhanced in light of the recent Boston bombings and the arrests of three students including Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the younger bombing suspect.
While the school has been marred by the tragic events recently Sunday the celebration focused on the students. After a moment of silence to remember the victims of the bombing the graduation continued in it's normal fashion.
The only prominent difference from graduations in years passed were the pins that read "UMASS Dartmouth Strong" that most of the students wore over their hearts.
