The city of Providence will kick off a road improvement project this morning on Gallup Street.
The project is part of a plan to rebuild 65 miles of streets through the city. It will be funded by a $40 million bond that was approved by Providence voters last November.
In a plan laid out by the Mayor Taveras, he said the repaving project is just one plan of many to help revitalize the city. The plan also includes a face-lift for Kennedy Plaza.
