Police have set up command centers and heavy patrols at the Watertown Mall, close to where the first suspect was killed in a shoot out.
Watertown has been the focus for much of the wild manhunt for the Boston Marathon Bombing suspects. The first suspect was shot and killed in a shootout with police.
Watertown Mall looked like a scene out of a violent movie. Law enforcement on the ground, and in the air, armed with rifles and bomb sniffing dogs. The community on heightened alert after the first suspect was shot and killed in a violent standoff in a residential neighborhood involving explosives. The 2nd suspect has now been caught and brought into custody alive.
But before the community was at ease, residents were locked down, told they couldn't return home.
Michael Demirdjian and his daughter Courtney were stranded all night at Watertown Mall. They were returning from Logan Airport with their new puppy to find police swarming their neighborhood.
"I'm just like anxious, it's really scary whats going on right now, I just want to go home I want it to be over,"said Courtney.
The residents were escorted home just before 4PM Friday by police. The second suspect was brought into custody around 8:45 PM.
