Fishing season starts in Rhode Island

They came in boats and stood on the shore. Young and old,turned out for the first  day of the freshwater fishing season in Rhode Island.

    This is a happy day for Matt Ferry,he says, fishing brings him peace. Olney pond was the place in Lincoln where many showed up to fish.About 20,000 anglers were  expected state–wide to turn out for the official first fish day.Fishing is one of things, still on the top of the list for enjoyment in Rhode Island.The Smith family fished for two hours, caught a trout and threw it back. They said they wanted to save some for someone else. DEM, making sure everyone had enough fish, stocked over one–hundred ponds and streams with  80.000 trout. They also said everyone needs to  take the necessary safety precautions.
