Today Congressman James Langevin and Congressman David Cicilline held a news conference to call for the increase in minimum wage.

The Congressmen discussed their support of the Fair Minimum Wage Act which proposes to raise the federal minimum wage to $10.10 per hour over three years.

Currently the federal minimum wage is set at $7.25 per hour and the Rhode Island minimum wage, which was raised in January, is set at $7.75 per hour.

Additional labor leaders and stakeholders were also in attendance.
