Police ask for information in fatal hit-and-run

Pawtucket Police are asking for the public's help finding a suspect involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident on Saturday.

Police responded to a person struck at 1:54 a.m. at the intersection of Beecher Street and Lonsdale Avenue on Saturday.

They arrived to find 67-year-old Lauretta Hobbs lying in the street. She was initially conscious and alert but died later at the hospital due to blunt force trauma.

The person who struck Hobbs fled the scene.
