Thursday was a big day for the students involved in the
Junior ROTC program at Fall River's B.M.C. Durfee High
School.
The group which was decommissioned by the United States Navy
in 2012 had a chance to get their funding back after taking pat in a military inspection.
The program was decommissioned last year due to low enrollment
but since that time student say they have tripled enrollment and added an instructor.
The students have been working to revamp the program and raise
funds to keep the Jr. ROTC going over the past year.
