WINTER STORM: A LOOK BACK

Posted: Updated:
The winter storm warning has expired.

Snow totals in RI ranged from an inch or two in Warwick and East Greenwich, to around a foot from Cumberland to Burrillville. The Newport and Bristol areas got around 6 inches. The official total for Providence (T.F. Green Airport) was 2.3", but Federal Hill in Providence reported just over 5". For a look at the snow totals in RI and MA, check out the attached graphics.

The precipitation heads out to sea this evening, with skies becoming partly cloudy overnight. Lows will be in the upper 20s, so watch out for black ice! Winds will remain rather gusty all night, coming from the north at 15-25 mph, gusting over 30 mph at times.

The weekend looks dry with highs in the 40s both days. The next chance of precipitation comes with a chance of rain Monday night into Tuesday of next week.
