The members of Leadership Central Falls graduated from Leadership Rhode Island on Thursday.
In the groups annual award ceremony luncheon at the Providence Marriott on Orms Street over two dozen individuals involved in the Central Falls community graduated from the "Leadership Central Falls program" including newly elected Mayor James Diossa.
Governor Lincoln Chafee lauded Leadership Rhode Island for its dedication to the community for over 30 years. Chafee said Central Falls is a "star community that has been through some bumpy times," noting that with the help of "Leadership Central Falls" the city has a "bright future."
Diossa thanked everyone involved in the program for "coming together to help move Central Falls forward."
Leadership Rhode Island's next project is focusing on Quonset Point.
