A 23-year-old Pawtucket man has been charged with first degree child molestation after a mother called police about her missing teenage daughter.
The mother called police on Monday to report that her 13-year-old daughter was missing and that she believed she could be found at Sergio Fernandes's Vale Street apartment.
Police responded to Fernandes's apartment at 26 Vale Street and located the girl. Upon investigation it was determined that Fernandes has been sexually involved with the 13-year-old since Dec. 2012.
Fernandes was arraigned on child molestation charges on Tuesday and has been ordered held without bail.
