PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence Police are searching for a man suspected of robbing a gas station at knifepoint.
Police say around 6 a.m., a heavyset white male walked into the Shell gas station at 5 Elmwood Avenue, brandished a knife and demanded money from the cashier.
The robber made off with an undetermined amount of cash and fled on foot.
Police say they are looking into surveillance video that was taken at the time of the robbery, but so far police have made no arrests.
