Rain throughout the day on Monday could make what is already a messy commute after the blizzard worse.
The rain could possibly freeze on the ground causing icy conditions and a slippery commute. Drivers are urged to use caution and drive slow.
As a result of the expected rain, the Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency is urging Rhode Islanders to clear snow surrounding storm drain, fire hydrants and manhole covers to prevent any damage caused as the heavy snow.
The also suggest shoveling flat roofs if the roof can safely support a persons weight.
