Nearly 200–thousand homes lost power in Friday's storm. In Newport and Bristol counties, virtually every customer lost power. Shelters have been set up throughout the State for people on day three now without electricity or heat. National Grid says, crews are aiming to have service fully restored by late Monday.
Here's a look at how it's all shaping up. Right now, a total of more than 20–thousand are left in the dark statewide. The majority are in Washington County, with 15,703 customers affected. In Newport county 2,100 people are without power and 1,939 are in the dark in Kent County.
National Grid hopes to have power restored by midnight Monday.
