Whiteout at EG Hoop Game Helps Buy Van for 11-Year Old Youngster - ABC6 - Providence, RI and New Bedford, MA News, Weather

There was a whiteout for the East Greenwich boys basketball game against Moses Brown.  Fans were wearing white to help raise money for Jake's Wheels, a special effort set up to buy a van to transport 11-year old Jake Downey.

Jake suffers from a brain injury caused by cerebral spinal fluid at birth.  The community had raised all but $4,000 of the $47,000 needed to purchase a special van to help transport Jake.

The Avengers were upset by the Quakers, 35 to 32 but Jake was the real winner on the night.
