Football fans packed into Providence bars and restaurants Sunday night to catch all of the Super Bowl action.
"It's been 18 years since they've [San Francisco 49ers] been in the Super bowl. Last time was against San Diego. But I expect great things tonight!" said Jeff Wright of East Providence.
"We feel they've come a long way, and with Ray Lewis retiring we feel that he deserves go out all the way!" said Michelle Musone, a Ravens fan from Cranston.
The match up between the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers was bittersweet to New England fans.
"It's disappointing," said Nick Manzo, a Patriot's fan from North Providence. "We can't win them all."
Even though the Patriot's didn't play the big game proved to be a big boost to area businesses. Snookers in Providence actually saw more customers this year than last year when the Pat's played.
"We're pretty much at capacity," said manager Teddy Fulton. "We've got a couple reservations we're waiting on, but as far as seating goes this is as busy as we can get."
Sicilia's Pizzeria added extra staff and stayed open late. Throughout the night workers made hundreds of pizza pie's and delivered them to Super Bowl parties across the city.
"They [the fans] usually party until at least midnight. We'll stay busy. We wont stop," said manager Kimberly Kleib.
